Karmic Forces (2) - Perspective

This is the second part in a 6 part fictional story series. Everything in this story is purely imaginary with inspirations from real life. Any resemblance to any person or occasion in real life is completely coincidental. 2. Perspective Miraa got up from the bathroom floor, disoriented. She heard her mother bang on the room's door, shouting, "Miraa, what do you want for breakfast? When is your next class?" . Relieved that her mother had not sensed her internal battle in the bathroom, Miraa got out of the bathroom, went to the her room's door and tried to reply as calmly as possible, " Anything but Upma ma! My next class is at 12!" . She hadn't done a good job of covering up her weak, broken voice, since pat came the next interrogation, " Your voice is low dear.. what happened? Are you okay? Was it another nightmare?" . Miraa smiled, understanding her mom's concern.  She had had nightmares of her abuser chasing her, finding her, torturing he...

Karmic Forces (1) - Conversations

This is the first part in a 6 part fictional story series. Everything in this story is purely imaginary with inspirations from real life. Any resemblances to any person or occasion in real life is completely coincidental. 1. Conversations Tired out by the activities of the day, Miraa changed into her loose yellow t shirt and black pants, turned on the AC, curled up in her bed, comforter carelessly strewn over her feet, nose hooked inside a book, eyes and mind engrossed in its contents.  She was a 20 year old college goer, with small, brown eyes, a rather flat nose, a set of imperfect, yellowish, crooked teeth and with wavy, shoulder-length, black hair now tied in a characteristic bun, with a milky complexion. As she continued reading, a chill went down her spine. The chill had nothing to do with the atmosphere provided by the air conditioner nor with the gripping story of the book.  A feeling of being watched, almost that of being quietly examined, suddenly made her feel vulne...

Mahanati Keerthy

Keerthy Suresh. She has been and is one of my most favourite actors till date. I fell in love with her personality long before her National Award winning potrayal of Savitri-Amma in the magnificent Mahanati or Nadigaiyar Thilagam, after which I was floored to say the least.  The iconic Mayabazaar scene There is something about her, be it her charismatic smile, childlike demeanour, fun loving spirit or magnetic personality. She seems to be one of the most down to earth persons I have ever seen, yet I have never interacted with her in real life (hope to, some day!) What do I mean to say with all this rambling? Well, consider her background. Producer father, established actress mother, well connected links in the film industry- I'm sure you can get what I'm hinting at.  Yet one look at her and you could have never guessed her parentage or lineage. She does not bank on her parents for her success, she is no diva, she has no pomp and show about her, she lets her work speak for itse...

Tarot Cards - Stepping into My Purpose

If you have been a consistent reader of this blog and its posts, you might be well aware of my rather deep connection to Spirit, Source or in other words, the Universe. I did in fact mindfully and intentionally keep the tagline of my blog as "An Instrument of the Universe", because that is how I saw myself beyond the ego's identity.  Well, the Universe is abundant, merciful and miraculous to say the least, for which I am deeply grateful and indebted to. I know that It is always by my side, ready to help me as I go on in my journey of staying true to my path and it is forever encouraging me as it sees my (rapid, if I may say so myself :P) progress.  But, sometimes the material world's worries would blind me into thinking that I had lost my way, at which time I would ask for signs, symbols and synchronicities from my spirit guides and angel guardians.  This literal "asking the Universe for signs" started in late 2018 and has actually become embedded in my subc...
